NEW FEATURE FILM: OIL IN THE BLOOD

Longtime Producer / Director Gareth Maxwell Roberts, Gloves Off, Montana, and the award-winning Kill Kill Faster Faster, to name a few, has been working on his latest project, Oil in the Blood, for a couple of years and from the trailer that was released, it looks like it's going to be absolutely fantastic. The film explores the growing subculture of custom bike building by talking to the people that drive the scene; the builders, riders, artists, photographers, and curators.

Oil in the Blood - Trailer

I first ran into Gareth in early 2017 at the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show in Austin, Texas where he worked the entire weekend filming and interviewing some of the best custom builders at the show. He did the same at the Bike Shed show in London, the Mama Tried show in Milwaukee, the Brooklyn Invitational show in NY, and based on the film's Instagram feed, countless other places with top-notch builders around the globe.

The film is chock full of discussions with boundary-pushers like Chris Hunter (Bike EXIF), Federal Moto, Jay Choppahead (Mayhem Machines), Mike Rabideau (Majik Mike Designs), Tim Harney (Tim Harney Motorcycles), Jessica Wertz (Brooklyn Invitational), Ross Sharp (The Bike Shed), David Boras (El Solitario) and many, many more. And based on only the promo, the cinematography looks stunning, whether revealing the flecks of light bouncing off the work-of-art custom motorcycles or the mirage-like snow or desert riding scenes. We really can't wait to see the whole thing.

The film has started to tour some of the custom bike shows in the USA and Europe and of course, we're hoping to have it for you at the 2019 edition of the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival.
