Dakar in 1979 was a different beast. Before big brands, big money, and slick organization, it was pure survival. 10,000 km across the Sahara with nothing but a map, a compass, and a dream. No GPS. No sat phones. No safety nets.
100 Kicks in the Desert pays tribute to the grit and glory of the Dakar Rally, the toughest race on earth. Riding the same bikes used in the very first rally in 1979, the crew retraces those early routes to find out just how brutal, and beautiful, it really was. The film is a dramatic, dust-choked journey back to 1970s North Africa, where navigation was raw, the desert was endless, and adventure meant pushing yourself to the limit.
