Everyone is aware that the Baja 1000 is one of the most dangerous races in the world. Despite so many victorious finishes, one would assume the script is written for the Baja-winning 7x team to podium again. Meticulous attention to detail and a ton preparation brings the team together to the starting line, but that is just where this story begins. This is a truly heart-rending story about the real dangers of racing motorcycles and the team spirit that helps overcome challenges. This sport is far from easy, far from safe, and sure as hell far from a hospital.

Director Statement
A Thousand Miles From Nowhere started out with the goal of creating a well shot race recap of the 2023 Baja 1000. As the race went on, it became obvious that the film was taking a crazy turn that I would follow to the end. Unsure of the outcome, I continued to shoot and thankfully found the blessings in a scary and heart breaking defeat at the Baja 1000.
